Give Homelessness THE BOOT!
This winter, help us Give Homelessness the BOOT, by providing boots, winter gear and other necessities for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Boots are a key survival tool for our homeless neighbors living on the street. They keep feet warm and dry, helping to keep the entire body safe from the elements. That’s why, with Give Homelessness the BOOT!, we’re trying to provide new boots, winter gear, and other necessities to nearly 400 neighbors experiencing homelessness, the challenges associated with substance use disorder and/or domestic violence.
Your gift will not only to keep our homeless neighbors warm, but can also serve as a bridge to building relationships with them — a bridge that may eventually encourage individuals to come to our shelter programs and access a range of supportive services, with the ultimate goal of transitioning into their own homes and living healthier, happier lives.
Give Homelessness THE BOOT! sponsorships provide those in need with hearty winter boots, blue jeans, sweatshirts, winter coats and other necessities with an average cost of $195 per person sponsored. We’re asking individual donors to sponsor anywhere from 1-5 neighbors, and for corporate donors to take the lead, sponsoring 10-25 neighbors this holiday season.
There are a few ways to get involved:
Individuals or organizations can make monetary donations to sponsor a number of individuals, and CASPAR will source their winter wish list items. (Donate safely and securely below.)
Individuals can ask to receive a number of our homeless neighbors’ personal wish lists and directly purchase the items for them.
Organizations can choose a number of individuals to sponsor, receive their wish lists, order the items and host a team engagement activity to assemble the gift bags. (This is our most popular corporate choice.)
